Hand primed in Belgium using only the finest Belgian linens, Claessens has been prized by artists for many years. The fabrics are carefully smoothed to remove any imperfections and then are sized with rabbitskin glue to isolate the primer from the fabric. Layers of specially prepared primer to give all Claessens’ canvases their unique feel and responsiveness.
